Steve SwagertySteve Swagerty’s background in model aircraft and teaching is a prefect fit for the “Buddy Box” portion of the "Beyond The Flightline" podcast. He has a Masters Degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City as well as a Bachelors degree from Emporia State University. Steve’s teaching experience as an instructor from 1979 to 2009 in Film Making, 3D Animation, and Operations of a Recording Studio, has given him the unique ability to convey technical information to the experienced, but most importantly, to the novice as well.

Steve is not only accomplished at flying precision aerobatics and racing with control-line model airplanes, he has also designed and flown high powered model rockets. His latest rocket project was 15’ tall and carried an onboard video and audio downlink in real time.

In the podcast, Steve educates listeners on how to match electric power systems from the small indoor electric planes to the giant scale planes. He explores new materials and adhesives as well as teaching the expanding use of foam in today's aircraft construction.
